1. Go to twitter.com.

2. Click on the green "Get Started - Join!" button.

3. Enter your full name at the top.

4. Pick a username (Twitter will give you immediate feedback if your chosen name is already taken).

5. Choose a password (has to be at least 6 characters).

6. Enter your email.

7. Type in the words that are displayed and press the "Create my account" button.

8. Click on the "Skip this step" link at the bottom.
